Job Title: Software Engineer

Job Description

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Software Development Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of software development and a keen interest in integrating software solutions with our diverse engineering capabilities. This role will involve working closely with various engineering teams to develop, test, and maintain software applications that enhance our product offerings and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain software applications for embedded systems, control systems, and automated test systems.

Compliance and Certification: Ensure software solutions comply with DO-160 and DO-178 standards, working closely with the certification team.

Embedded Systems: Develop software for 8-bit embedded microprocessor systems, integrating with digital and analog control systems.

Power Systems: Collaborate with engineering teams to develop software for AC to DC converters, DC to AC inverters, and power supply designs (including cold and hot cathode fluorescent lamp power supplies).

Mechanical and Optical Integration: Work with mechanical and optical design teams to create software that supports design tooling, equipment, and optical systems.

Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop automated electronic test systems and software for production engineering/testing to ensure high-quality manufacturing processes.

Innovation and Prototyping: Participate in the development of innovative solutions, including LED technology, magnetometer coil design, and 3D printer prototyping.

Circuit Board Design: Collaborate with circuit board design teams to develop and test software that interfaces with various hardware components.

Fueling Control Systems: Develop and maintain software for fueling control systems, ensuring reliability and safety.

Manufacturing and Quality Engineering: Support manufacturing and quality engineering teams with software solutions that enhance production efficiency and product quality.
