Position Description
Position Description:
- Analyze and understand plans and specifications for each project.
- Coordinate budget and estimating process by:
{=html} <!-- --> - - Gathering information and quotes from a variety of vendors for materials, labor, and other services required by the job. - Attending estimating reviews with Project Manager. - Managing data in estimating software.
{=html} <!-- --> - Work closely with the project manager on takeoff and cost estimations.
Develop lift drawings, site utilization plans, phase, and completion plan with Superintendent.
Coordinate site layout with Superintendent.
Assist field staff with ordering materials and coordinating deliveries.
Prepare, distribute, and track requests for proposals (RFPs) and summarize results.
- Coordinate the RFP process.
Review, distribute, and track project submittals.
Prepare, distribute, and track project requests for information (RFIs)
- Work with Project team to ensure quality RFIs are submitted and responded to in a timely manner.
{=html} <!-- --> - Assist Project Manager with preparation of meeting agendas and meeting minutes. - Assist Project team with updates to short interval and long-term schedules. - Review incoming change orders for validity, ensure contractual rates are aligned with updates. - Consistently walk the job site, establish rapport with field team, and ensure work is completed safety. - Assist project management with project closeout.

Position Requirements:
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
- Commitment to follow all Hutton safety protocols.
- Demonstrated proficiency in communicating across a variety of audiences.
- Ability to assess technical risks or opportunities by reviewing an RFP.
- Ability to manage resources, costs, and quality throughout the duration of a project.
- Experience impacting others to accomplish tasks safely in a team environment.
- Possess a valid and unrestricted drivers license and have reliable transportation to and from work.
- Successfully pass a background check
Physical Requirements: Qualified candidates must be able to perform the following without accommodation:
- Lift, push, or pull materials weighing up to 50 lbs. consistently.
- Walk, bend, twist, turn, stoop, kneel, crawl, climb, squat in cramped or awkward positions.
- Stand/walk and work on uneven surfaces.
- Ability to work productively in extreme weather conditions.
Education and Experience:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience working in construction or related field.
- Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Bluebeam, Safe Estimating (or similar software), and Asta Scheduling (or similar software).
- Preferred qualification: Bachelors degree in construction management, construction science, business administration, engineering, or related field.
Work Environment:
