*This is a part-time position with primary duties and responsibilities based in Kansas.*\ \ Occupational Summary:\ This position oversees the coordination of all student activities in the clinical area, including clinical scheduling, pre- and post-clinical conferences, Mortality/Morbidity conferences, and journal club, directly completing these tasks for students in Kansas. The position includes teaching responsibility in the classroom for the Clinical Practicum courses as outlined in the curriculum. This position is in-person, half-time and should expect to be on campus at minimum weekly.\ \ Stewardship Statement:\ This position is responsible to cultivate and maintain the institutions Catholic identity and its mission to empower graduates to transform society.   1. Assume primary responsibility for the coordination of all student clinical instruction.
  2. Coordinate student clinical instruction for Kansas students.
  3. Act as a liaison between the clinical agencies and the University.
  4. Serve as an intermediary between students and hospital personnel, including clinical coordinators and supervising CRNAs.
  5. Oversee and review students monthly case records and time logs.
  6. Participate, instruct, and supervise students in administering anesthesia.
  7. Oversee and ensure clinical compliance maintaining visit logs and reports for all clinical agencies.
  8. Complete regularly scheduled clinical site visits per policy and complete required documentation.
  9. Collaborate with Associate Clinical Coordinator-Oklahoma to ensure the clinical success of students.
  10. Meet monthly with the Program Administrator regarding students clinical progress.
  11. Hold clinical conferences once per semester.
  12. Participate in Oklahoma clinical conferences.
  13. Provide clinical coverage during times of absence, vacation, and illness for Associate Clinical Director of Oklahoma.
  14. Integrate ethical and professional principles in nursing practice.
  15. Maintain proficiency in clinical competencies.
  16. Participate in activities related to compliance of the program of nurse anesthesia with university policy, Council on Accreditation of Educational Standards, and Kansas State Board of Nursing regulations.
  17. Participate on University and program committees as designated.
  18. Participate in program, school, and University events as outlined in the calendar, handbook, and contract.
  19. Complete all University-required training including Title IX and FERPA.
  20. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications/Education/Experience/Skills/Training:

  1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  2. Graduate of an accredited program of nurse anesthesia.
  3. Minimum of a masters degree; DNAP, DNP, or PhD degree preferred.
  4. Minimum of 1 years experience in administrative, clinical, and didactic activities.
  5. Possess Kansas nursing credentials (registered nurse licensure, advanced registered nurse practitioner certification, registered nurse anesthetist authorization).
  6. Have current and appropriate preparation in curriculum instruction, testing, and evalua ion.
  7. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

  1. Knowledge of principles and theory of anesthesia equipment, techniques, procedures.
  2. Professional development through:
    1. maintaining recertification through the NBCRNA.
    2. maintaining current membership in the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists (AANA).
    3. attendance at departmental and hospital in-service education programs.
    4. reviewing current anesthesia literature.
    5. attendance at local, state, and national meetings.
    6. participation in the administration of anesthesia.
