Description
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for carrying out Instrumentation DAS (data acquisition system) installation and troubleshooting duties on experimental aircraft. Required to perform these duties in support of new product and sustaining aircraft designs. These duties will include coordination with other engineering and technical groups to help develop, implement, monitor and status assignments.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan and perform the work involved in the installation, calibration, and troubleshooting of instrumentation systems required for data acquisition on experimental aircraft
Use various types of specialized test equipment to troubleshoot data acquisition systems on aircraft
Ability to work independently and be responsible for good decision making
Ability to work with all aspects of experimental aircraft design and will be required to frequently interact with engineering personnel
Responsible for own work only
Qualifications
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

High School education or equivalent is required
2 years college or technical school and/or military avionics/electronic schools
Related electronics/aircraft avionics experience is preferred.
Broad training and fundamental skills for hands on avionics/electrical troubleshooting of aircraft systems preferred
QUALIFICATIONS:
Comprehensive training and fundamental skills for hands-on electrical/mechanical troubleshooting
Technically savvy with computing techniques
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
Read and understand electrical schematics
Ability to build up wire harnesses
Ability to install wire harnesses
Ability to work on an aircraft
Be able to articulate work-related communications properly through both written and verbal means
Ability to deal with change and work in a dynamic environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required
