Job Objective: As a Deburr Operator you will report directly to the deburring supervisor and will be responsible for operating a variety of power &\ hand tools as well as deburring equipment to remove burrs, nicks, scratches, and rough and sharp edges. Committed to being part of a positive\ working environment while providing quality products and meeting customers schedule.\ Essential Job Functions:\ Good mechanical skills.\ Effective communication skills.\ Use hand tools and small power tools.\ Remove burrs and smooth out contoured surfaces with power tools.\ Grind, file, sand and polish metal surfaces to a specified shape and smoothness using grinding hand tools.\ Occasional lifting up to 50lbs.\ Stand or sit for extended periods of time.\ Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities\ Good mechanical skills\ Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.\ Ability to understand and follow directions to complete assigned tasks.\ Ability to learn how to operate a variety of machines.\ Work Environment:\ Usual working days/hours: Monday through Thursday 6:00am 4:30pm; Friday 6:00am 3:30pm. Working hours are subject to change\ based on company needs, may require working on Saturday.\ Manufacturing shop environment\ Frequently walks throughout the shop.\ High noise level
Equipment:\ Hand drills, Drill Press, Die Grinder (Dotco), Calipers, Micrometers, and Height Gages.
