Position Specific Responsibilities

Summary of Responsibilities

Develops, implements, and executes programs and services to meet the needs of students. Responsible for programming, recruitment and/or retention of students, training, partners with other University resources, and serves as a resource for all students, faculty, staff, alumni, and guests.

Essential Functions

  • Plans, coordinates, executes and assesses programs and other related events in conjunction with student organizations, other University departments, and community partners.
  • Plans, coordinates, executes and assesses trainings, in conjunction with student organizations, other University departments, and community partners.
  • May serve as a resource, consultant and liaison to the campus community on student issues.
  • In collaboration with leadership, regularly assesses all programs and services the office provides for effectiveness as well as assist in daily administration.
  • May support the programs by performing responsibilities which may include creating and maintaining databases and websites, monitoring, facilitating, and enforcing compliance with established criteria, guidelines and standards, etc.
  • May provide ongoing monitoring and tracking of program budgets.

Requirements

Minimum Education

Bachelors degree in related field by hire date.

Preferred Education

Minimum Experience

One (1) year of experience in student programmin g or related field. Every 15 hours of graduate college coursework beyond a bachelors degree can be substituted for one (1) year of experience.

Preferred Experience

Experience in advising Fraternity and Sorority Life advising and/or national fraternity or sorority headquarters experience either full-time or graduate level.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of and ability to manage complex issues that impact Greek systems.

Demonstrated knowledge of the dynamics of the Panhellenic Council, National Interfraternity Council, National Pan-Hellenic Council, Inc. (NPHC), the National Association of Latino Fraternal Organizations, Inc. (NAFLO), or the National Asian Pacific Islander Americ
