PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB: Primary responsibilities will be to provide administrative support, office management, and assistance to Human Resources, Safety and Operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assist the HR team with recruitment activities including setting up interviews, phone screenings and conversion processing.
· Complete employee deduction forms for payroll processing.
· Assist employees with HR related questions and kiosk navigation.
· Promote safety and maintain a neat and orderly workplace. Follow Newell’s Code of Safe Practices.
· Support Site Leadership Team as defined by Site Leader.
· Support PEAK continuous process improvement program as well as SEAL (Safety Excellence and Leadership program).
· Organize employee engagement activities and celebrations including facility wide meals, product give-a-ways and all-company retirement parties.
· Welcome guests and accommodate their business need during their visit.
· Complete Workforce employee data entry to ensure payroll accuracy (i.e., timekeeping card numbers, work schedules and GL labor account coding).
· Prepare and post site-wide communications and announcements.
· Review, track and implement donation requests.
· Prepare domestic shipments upon requests.
· Help maintain employee recognition store front.
· Assist in maintaining HR file room for company retention policy.
· Schedule meetings and related arrangements/accommodations as required.
· Execute all other administrative tasks as assigned by management.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
· 3-5 years administrative, office management experience preferred.
· High School Diploma or equivalent required, some College or degree preferred.
· Must possess strong organizational skills, be detail oriented, and ability to work with confidential information on a daily basis.
· Strong computer skills including MS Office Suite.
· Must be flexible about working overtime in order to get the job done in a timely manner.
· Must have the ability to work with little supervision and be self-driven.
· Must be able to work on multiple tasks at a time, with varying deadlines, coordinating completion to match the needs of the organization.
· Must have strong communication skills both written and oral.
· Able to work in a fast-paced environment with often changing needs.
· Must have a willingness to learn and comprehend the issues of the location, therefore understanding and communicating more effectively.
· The ability to lift up to 25 lbs. on a semi-frequent basis.
