Whether in direct-care or support role, your contribution will make a difference in the life of a Texan.The Vehicle Driver II works 7:00am to 4:00pm at the Property department. This is a dual campus position and housed at NTSH Wichita Falls Campus.The vehicle driver operates and maintains the motor vehicles within the Property department. The drivers transport various types of furniture and numbered assets to pre-designated locations in a safe and prompt manner. This person works under the general supervision of the Inventory Specialist II. Essential Job FunctionsAttends work on a regular basis to work a specific shift and/or overtime as needed in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as needed.Assist with coordinating and performing moves.Pick up, store, and transfer surplus furniture and equipment.Maintain inventory of all numbered and unnumbered equipment throughout the facility.Assist with auctions and distributing new and in-issued furniture and equipment.Other duties as assigned include but are not limited to actively participating and/or serving in a supporting role to meet the agency's obligations for disaster response and/or recovery or Continuity of Operations (COOP) activation. Such participation may require an alternate shift pattern assignment and/or location. Registrations, Licensure Requirements or CertificationsMust posses a valid Texas driver's license or obtain it no later than 90 days after the hire date. Applicant's with an out of state driver's license must provide an original certified driving record from the state of driving licensure. Eligible driving record required based on HHSC Fleet Management policy.Knowledge Skills AbilitiesKnowledge of Wichita Falls campus and buildingsAble to lift heavy objects of at least 55#.Able to operate motor vehicles, including forklift.Have acceptable driving record.Able to work in extreme heat and cold.Basic computer skills.Able to use basic hand tools. Initial Screening CriteriaHigh School diploma or GED required.Additional InformationSalary Note: The salary offered will follow HHS HR Policy starting salary guidelines which are typically made at or near the minimum of the salary range.
