Our team is looking for a experienced Medical Biller to join us in our commitment to top-quality healthcare. Job Description: We are looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Medical Biller for our pediatric doctors' office. The successful candidate will be responsible for submitting and following up on medical claims to ensure timely payment. Duties include coding medical records, processing payments, and interacting with insurance companies and parents regarding billing issues. Responsibilities: Review patient bills for accuracy and updates, and obtain any missing information needed. Prepare, review, and transmit claims using billing software. Follow up on unpaid claims within the standard billing cycle timeframe. Verify patients' insurance coverage. Address and answer parent inquiries regarding billing and insurance payments. Check each insurance payment for accuracy and compliance with contract discount. Update billing software with rate changes. Ensure accuracy and timeliness of billing services. Maintain patient confidentiality, and ensure compliance with healthcare laws and regulations. Handle collections on unpaid accounts. Requirements Proven experience as a medical biller, preferably within a pediatric setting. Knowledge and understanding of medical billing process and insurance practices. Proficiency in medical coding. Excellent organizational and multitasking ability. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail. Knowledge of relevant healthcare laws and regulations.
