We are seeking an Environmental Field Technician(EIR Field Technician 1) to join our Central or Southern California team! Come join us!
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Perform soil/groundwater sampling/monitoring for subsurface assessment/remediation projects
Perform soil logging
Compile detailed/well-organized data/field notes and photographs
Prepare reports, including analysis of data and developing conclusions and recommendations
Prepare chain-of-custody forms for analytical testing, record survey data on approved forms, etc.
Travel locally and regionally to project sites using company vehicle
Work off-hours and weekends periodically when required
Implement Atlas’s health and safety policies and procedures
Minimum requirements:
Associate Degree or Technical Degree in Environmental Science or related field is preferred
Entry level position, but 1+ years of professional experience as an environmental field technician is a plus.
OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification (with current/recent refresher certification)
Technical requirements:
Knowledge of field sampling techniques and chain-of-custody protocols
Basic mechanical skills/mechanically inclined
Familiarity with laboratory procedures
Experience with O&M of Soil and Groundwater Remediation Systems
Effective field note taking, strong oral communication, presentation and time management skills
Ability to prepare technical reports for clients and regulatory agencies
Ability to log soil
Ability to work with and sample petroleum products and dry cleaning products
Ability to work with mechanical systems used for remediation of petroleum and dry cleaning products
Other miscellaneous qualities:
Ability to travel, approximately 30% of the time
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet organization and project objectives
Ability to communicate effectively with others
Demonstration of high integrity and strong work ethic
Knowledge/Proficiency with Microsoft Office®.
Compensation:
$25 - $32 hourly
The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
