Description and Requirements

We are hiring a recent college graduate to join our team as a Process Engineer. This position will report to the USFC Site Engineering Manager at our Whitsett, North Carolina facility. This role will require onsite presence five days a week.

The Process Engineer will use a comprehensive knowledge of the principles, practices and procedures of Industrial Engineering to complete and assign analysis and evaluation in support of complex assignments for service/facility activities. You will work cross functionally to support the operations teams, work with other regions to support and drive initiatives and implement world-class lean concepts throughout our organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct and supervise assigned Process Engineering tasks that are difficult in character, varied in nature and require originality and ingenuity.

  • Review progress and evaluate results of Process Engineering projects.

  • Gather factual data on all phases of operations for assigned business units. Use data to establish and update facility layouts, operations controls, short and long-range capacity and headcount planning, as well as to develop new operating systems and work methods.

  • Recommend and implement process changes pertaining to cost control, time and motion, work standards, and work methods, and cost and quality.

  • Update labor efficiency models with new work standards and review changes with operations management for concurrence.

  • Develop and update site operating procedures as required to satisfy ISO/TL requirements.

  • Work with external maintenance staff and external contractors to implement facility improvements including material handling automation and repair standardization.

  • Develop and manage special projects based on corporate needs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering

  • Experience with AutoCad

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

  • 1 year experience in a high-volume manufacturing/distribution environment

  • Strong communication skills

  • Six Sigma Green/Black Belt Certification is a plus
