Job Summary:

In Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) we integrate, verify, and validate our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand-in-hand with our customers.

The Mission Capability Verification Center within Systems Integration and Test is searching for engineers to support program test operations and Telemetry data collection and analysis activities with our team at White Sands Missile Range, NM.

This position is an onsite role. Anticipated travel will be up to 50%. Travel to support test implementation at both domestic and international locations. Test events may occur over weekends or holidays, and will require extended hours

What You Will Do

  • Operation, Maintenance and Sustainment of telemetry software and hardware, before and during testing in the field

  • Support mission implementation, which includes movement of telemetry vehicles, generators, and equipment set-up, including move and transport of equipment 25+ lbs.

  • Coordination and checkout of telemetry equipment, data collection, analysis software, and tracking of telemetry reduction packages

  • Support Live Missile firings while collecting telemetry data.

  • This includes working outdoors under various weather conditions, and in the vicinity of energized equipment, radar radiation hazards, and unexploded ordnance.

  • Other duties as required

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM), with 12 months or less of professional experience (excluding internships)

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

  • Experience with the instrumentation and/or operation of data acquisition systems

  • Experience with industry standard test equipment, such as oscilloscope, multi-meter and/or spectrum analyzer. Experience with troubleshooting electronics and/or subassemblies, support of issue resolution and/or solution validation.

  • Experience with schematics, datasheets, and/or RF equipment

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience working on a missile test range, supporting telemetry data collection and analysis

  • Experience with both Windows and UNIX operating systems

  • Experience with configuring and maintaining hardware at the board or lower level (ie, EEPROM)

  • Experience with programming, including C programming and HTML

  • Prefer internship experience that included hands-on testing of electronic systems

The salary range for this role is 53,000 USD - 103,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
