Create and manage a shelter environment based on the concept of choices, and the four principles of respect, communication, safety and wellness. Facilitate the daily operational activities involved in running an emergency shelter. Support guests in using identified strengths in carrying out their individual plans, and in participating in growth opportunities.
- Complete various shelter management activities that include, but are not limited to meal preparation, laundry, equipment management, preparation of rooms for guests, etc.
- Attend a minimum of 6 team meetings per calendar year and regular clinical supervision as part of their professional development
- Per diem shelter staff must be available a minimum of 50% of requested time
- Must work well independently and knows how and when to ask for support
