Robert Half is currently searching for a Transactional Tax Attorney to join a reputable New York Law Firm.

Assignment Details

Start Date: TBD (Target October)

Pay Rate:$70+ per hour on Contract (Full- Time Salary Negotiable- DOE & Eligible for bonuses)

Duration: Temp to Perm

Location: Remote w/ possible chance to go to the office in White Plains, NY

Hours: Standard Business hours

Job Description

• Transactional tax counsel experienced with structuring M& A transactions and advising on structures and tax considerations from the term sheet stage for a variety of different types of commercial law deals.

• Ability to assist with general corporate/contract drafting matters and due diligence also a plus as it will provide additional opportunities for a candidate to work hours if/when billable tax hours in each week are limited.

Qualifications

• 10+ Years of experience as a transactional Tax Attorney.

• Must have an active bar licensure. State of New York preferred. Open to other jurisdictions.

• Must be able to commute to the office in White Plains if needed.

Possession of a professional law degree (J.D.) from an accredited law school

• Admission to the state bar where the job is located

• A minimum of 10 years of professional experience practicing law

• Proficiency with 3M, Adobe Acrobat, and Conveyancer software

• Solid experience in case and document management

• Ability to brief cases succinctly and accurately

• Experience in civil litigation and claim administration

• Expertise in handling customer complaints and knowledge of consumer electronics

• Specialization in tax law, mergers and acquisitions, and contract law

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills

• High ethical standards and professional integrity

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities

• Proficiency in legal research, reasoning, and writing skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment

• Willingness to keep up-to-date with changes in law and the legal profession

• Ability to handle a large caseload and work under pressure.
