Aston Carter Accounts Payable Specialist in White Plains, New York

Job Title: Accounts Payable Specialist

Job Description

• Enter, maintain, and reconcile all invoices related to the acquisition of products & services.

• Reconcile and analyze pre-paid services/materials and accrued services/materials accounts throughout the month and prepare final reconciliation for sign-off at month’s end.

• Audits and verifies expenses reports.

• Update and maintain vendor database.

• Reconcile vendor statements.

• Process and record all bank wire transfers.

• Organize and execute weekly check runs, as well as any interim check runs that may be required.

• Assist in preparing annual 1099 filings.

• Review, prepare, and analyze AP/AR reports.

• Monitor aging reports and/or collect aging.

• Research and resolve maintenance account disputes and billing discrepancies with customers and internal sales staff.

• Create folders and file customer and vendor paperwork.

• Work to complete tasks with a sense of urgency.

• Protect the organization’s value by keeping information confidential.

• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Hard Skills

  • Accounting or Finance Degree

  • AP (1+ years of experience)

  • ERP (any kind - they use Great Plains and NAV)

  • TWIC CARD

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 6 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in White Plains, New York.

Work Environment

• Fully in office

• 8:30am to 5pm

• Attached to the manufacturing plant but in the corporate section

• 2001 the person for their location

• Role will report directly to the Accounting Manager

• 3 person team (Accounting Manager, Accountant & this role)
