Responsibilities

Basic Functions:

Responsible for maintenance & inspection of basic mechanical/structural elements and associated equipment including items such as hot water heaters, generators, water cooling towers, circuit breaker panels, plumbing, exterior lighting & upkeep of grounds. Repairman must handle essential functions outlined below and expeditiously and independently, evaluate, prioritize & communicate when to call in a Specialist.

Essential Functions:

• Perform preventive maintenance & basic repairs on facility equipment i.e., check & service oil, change fuses, solenoids, valves, bulbs, filters, belts & reset breakers.

• Basic electrical troubleshooting to include using a multimeter, running conduit & wires, replacement of motors, fans, light fixtures, ballasts, switches & outlets.

• Plumbing: Run, thread & sweat pipes, clear clogged water lines and toilets, troubleshoot and replace sumps, faucets, fill valves, flush valves & flappers.

• Carpentry: Basic drywall, cove base and paint repairs. Install white boards, flat screens, shelving, pre-manufactured office furnishings, replace ceiling tiles.

• Assist with and perform Preventative Maintenance inspections.

• Mechanical capability to perform basic mechanical teardown of units using blue prints, when needed.
