The opportunity

Delaware North Gaming is hiring full-time Greyhound Racing Leadouts to join our team at Wheeling Island Casino in Wheeling, West Virginia. As a Greyhound Racing Leadout, you will be responsible for handling and caring for the greyhounds in the paddock and while they are in route to the starting box.

What will you do?

• Lead dogs to the starting box and place them inside

• Ensure injured or fallen dogs are safely removed from the track or going in the correct direction

• Perform weigh-ins

• Lead dogs back to lockout kennel and puts them in the correct crates

Physical requirements

• Ability to lift and transport greyhounds weighing up to 70 pounds

• Ability to run or jog up to 100 yards multiple times per night

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
