We are seeking a skilled and dedicated 2nd Shift Maintenance Technician to join our team at our facility. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our manufacturing equipment.
Responsibilities
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment and facilities.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and ensure efficient operations.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and performance.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical mechanical prints and electrical schematics.
Bi-Lingual - must be able to speak Spanish.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience performing maintenance on Die Cast machinery.
Ability to program PLCs.
Knowledge in Hydraulics, Mechanical, Pneumatics, Repair, Industrial, Preventive maintenance, Troubleshooting, PLC troubleshooting, Welding, Die casting, Electrical troubleshooting.

Work Environment
This is an aluminum die casting company similar to a forging plant with hot metals being transferred around the facility. During the summer, the facility can get up to 105 degrees. These positions are not union spots, but they operate within a union environment.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Wheeling, Illinois.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $34.00/hr.
