Need 5 full time, temporary, seasonal Farm Laborer-Livestock to work in Wheaton, MN. From: 12/01/2024 - 03/31/2025 Work: Mon.-Sat. 8 hrs./day; 48 hrs./week Additional hours of work, i.e., on Sabbath, or holidays may be offered but not required. Overtime rate will be paid at the rate of time and a half. Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, an employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) per year, provided the employee works a minimum of 80 hours in a calendar year. Must Apply By: 01/31/2025 JOB DUTIES: Weaning of calves, including acclimatization to new environments, and assisting with socialization of calves. Workers will be responsible for gradually reducing calves dependency on mother s milk and will help the calves transition to a solid food diet. Introduce alternative sources of nutrition. Introduce pellets, hay, and corn to diet when calves are ready. All workers that have a valid driver's license must agree to and comply with the employer's fleet policy agreement prior to driving any company vehicles. Workers shall not drive a company vehicle unless written permission is provided to employee. Work related tools, supplies and equipment will be provided by employer. Merit based bonuses may be given. A higher hourly rate may be given based on experience, tenure, skills, and other non-discriminatory factors. JOB REQUIREMENTS: 3 months experience, able to lift 75 lbs.; able to perform work in extreme temperatures, and extensive pushing, pulling, sitting, walking, frequent stooping, bending over, and repetitive movements; All workers that have a valid driver's license must agree to and comply with the employer's fleet policy agreement prior to driving any company vehicles. Drug test after hire at employer's expense. No high school diploma/GED required. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance; employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.
