Eversource Energy R-024508 Equity and Economic Advancement Lead, Energy Efficiency Consultant (Hybrid) in Westwood, Massachusetts

A leader within our Energy Efficiency team, the Equity and Economic Advancement Program Lead plays a crucial role in fostering inclusivity and economic advancement for diverse suppliers including Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprises. This individual will be responsible for building strategic partnerships and managing initiatives to support diverse suppliers. This role involves close collaboration across various parts of the organization and other external stakeholders. This role will demand a blend of strategic vision, operational agility, and a deep understanding of economic and environmental justice. This individual will oversee programs, plans, and grants within a collaborative and fast pacedenvironment.

Another key responsibility of this individual will be to lead and oversee all aspects of Eversource’s Language Access efforts to improve language capabilities and access across all Energy Efficiency solutions.

This is a hybrid role. The first three months are fulltime in the office. This position requires travel to attend meetings, events, and conferences.

Key Responsibilities:

Supplier Diversity and Economic Advancement:

  • Develop and implement programs that enhance supplier diversity.
  • Facilitate networking opportunities and information sharing among diverse suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to integrate diverse suppliers into the supply chain.
  • Build and strengthen strategic partnerships with various stakeholders, including government agencies, non-profits, and businesses.
  • Organize events such as Supplier Diversity Summits to engage and inform diverse suppliers.

Language Access Oversight:

  • Lead and oversee initiatives to improve language capabilities and access across all energy efficiency solutions.
  • Ensure effective integration of language access into existing programs.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of language access initiatives.
  • Support diversity education and training efforts

Workforce Development:

  • Coordinate with stakeholders regarding workforce development in the commercial and residential sector.
  • Monitor the workforce development plan to ensure key deliverables are achieved.
  • Act as the Eversource point of contact for related workforce activities.

Procurement Collaboration:

  • Partner with the procurement team to research and include diverse vendors in upcoming bids.
  • Support inclusion of diverse suppliers at all stages of the procurement process

Other Essential Functions:

Customer Relations:

  • Develop and track community outreach and engagement activities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for external stakeholders to communicate the company’s vision within designated communities.
  • Promote business initiatives to new audiences and partners.

Customer Service:

  • Understand, track, and review customer experience through multiple program pathways.
  • Participate in meetings with internal stakeholders to develop new communication tactics and policies.
  • Manage escalated customer queries and concerns.
  • Analyze key metrics to identify trends and highlight issues.
  • Troubleshoot common challenges for customers by working with multiple business units.

Partnership Development:

  • Research, find, and recruit new and diverse partnerships.
  • Develop and implement a partnership strategy to increase the reach and impact of energy efficiency programs, including a partnership directory.
  • Coordinate the management of ongoing relationships with existing partners and leverage those relationships to greater collective reach.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to structure and execute partnership initiatives.
  • Develop and manage reporting and financial tracking of partnership activities.
  • Deliver professional presentations to potential partner organizations.

Services Coordination:

  • Work collaboratively with business units and their implementation vendors to achieve goals.
  • Provide support for Commercial and Residential Program Execution teams and other strategic teams.

Goal Tracking & Development:

  • Track partnership goals and performance
  • Report partnership performance to internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitor progress toward regulatory goals and key performance indicators.

Business Support:

  • Provide support for Commercial and Residential Program Execution teams.
  • Coordinate with gas and electric utilities and energy efficiency service providers across Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire
  • Develop and maintain a technical understanding of energy efficiency services and measures.
  • Establish and implement contractual agreements with external service providers.

Qualifications:

Technical Knowledge/Skills:

  • Experience in customer relations, partnership development, non-profits, and/or community relations
  • Proven ability to accomplish goals, deliverables, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication andrelationship-buildingskills
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask and develop new processes, procedures, and policies.
  • Ability to work with diverse populations and familiarity with issues of equity and intersectionality.
  • Proficiency in relevant software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite)
  • Knowledge of applicable industry practices, trends, and legislation, including familiarity with Massachusetts state and city agencies
  • Fluency in additional languages is an asset.

Other Qualifications:

  • Understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing MWBEs
  • Strong work ethic, detail-oriented, with excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Experience working with government agencies, non-profits, and businesses to support supplier diversity and economic advancement.
  • Ability to plan and execute large-scale events.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain Management, related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Master’s degree in a related field preferred
  • DEIJ certification preferred.

Experience:

  • Five (5) plus years of experience in supplier diversity, procurement a related field or transferable experience
  • Proven experience in managing multiple programs.
  • Experience in the energy efficiency or utilities sector preferred.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local supplier diversity regulations and best practices preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. The annual salary range for this position is $114,000 - $126,000 plus incentive. Salary is commensurate with your experience. Check out the career site for an overview of benefits.
