Description

We are seeking a Manager of Operations to join our team in the manufacturing industry located in Westport, Connecticut. This role involves overseeing the operations and supply chain management processes, ensuring efficiency and compliance with industry regulations and standards.

Responsibilities:

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with contract manufacturers and key suppliers, ensuring quality standards, delivery schedules, and cost targets are met.

• Develop and execute procurement strategies that align with company goals and objectives.

• Monitor inventory levels and identify any potential risks or opportunities.

• Oversee inventory management, including cycle counts and audits.

• Manage all transportation movement or storage, including negotiation of carrier rates and turnaround times.

• Coordinate the onboarding process and manage new hire supplies.

• Manage relationship with outsourced IT and serve as the key liaison for support, setting goals and expectations.

• Oversee building maintenance, working with the landlord to resolve building issues.

• Manage all 3PL inbound/outbound notifications, transportation methods, timely receipt of goods into inventory and internal communication for invoice processing.

• Ensure B2B and B2C shipping costs, corrugated shippers, packaging material, supplies are always on hand and within the budget.

• Execute training, routing, and compliance processes to adhere to customer guidelines.

• Review invoices and communicate to finance agreed costs are approved for payment.

• Develop and maintain demand forecasts in collaboration with sales and marketing teams.

• Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

• Address and resolve any quality issues with contract manufacturers promptly.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in operations within the manufacturing industry.

• Demonstrated expertise in Supply Chain Management.

• Proven experience in Contract Manufacturing.

• Proficiency in managing Purchase Orders.

• Proven ability to work with Existing Suppliers.

• Experience in Selecting Suppliers.

• Knowledge of Vendor Suppliers.

• Proficient in managing Quality Issues within operations.

• Experience in Global Strategic Sourcing.

• Skilled in Contract Negotiation.

• Proficiency in Inventory Planning & Reporting.

• Experience in Customer Demand Planning.

• Demonstrated expertise in Distribution Management.

• Ability to Coordinate Logistics.

• Experience in Logistics & Distribution.

• Knowledge of Air Transportation operations.

• Familiarity with Ground Transportation operations.
