Cleveland Clinic Program Coordinator Respiratory Education in Weston, Florida

A caregiver in this position will primarily work days, 8:00am-5:00pm, with the potential to work varying evening shifts as needed, including the occasional weekend and/or holiday.

A caregiver who excels in this position will:

  • Oversee the development of respiratory therapy curriculum and training the next generation of healthcare professionals.

  • Have a strong foundation in clinical practice, education, and leadership.

  • Demonstrate competency with high acuity situations and advanced RT interventions including non-traditional modes of ventilation, oscillator, and medication delivery.

  • Leverage Learning Management System (LMS) and instructional design software to develop online policy, practice, and procedures learning opportunities for enterprise Respiratory Therapy.

  • Manage Respiratory Therapy annual competency program to ensures standards are met in accordance with established hospital, departmental, and regulatory agency policies, and procedures.

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited Respiratory Care program.

  • RRT credentialing through the NBRC.

  • Florida RCP board licensure.

  • ACLS, BLS, PALS and NRP credentialing through the American Heart Association.

  • Minimum two years recent adult critical care experience required with demonstrated clinical expertise to include clinical respiratory care experience, preceptor, BCLS or ACLS instructor.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of education methodology including assessment, curriculum development, instructional design, and principles of adult learning.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Master's degree in Public Health, Education or Business.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • NPS credentialing through the NBRC.

  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

  • Manual dexterity required to operate office equipment.

  • Normal hearing and vision or corrected to normal range.

  • May require sitting, standing and walking for extensive periods of time.

Personal Protective Equipment:

  • Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
