Charles Schwab Specialist - Software Development & Engineering in Westlake, Texas

Duties : Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Conduct requirement analysis by gathering requirements from the business analysts and converting them into technical design and develop architecture to meet the business objectives. Develop systems by analyzing business objectives, preparing an action plan and identifying areas for modification and improvement under the direction of Software Engineer Lead. Assess the information needs of the users and validate them by working closely with Analysts. Analyze change specifications, and their impact. Create design per existing design patterns and unit test cases. Verify the coding standards according to the best practice coding guidelines. Position allows for partial remote work (2-3 times in the office). Must live within reasonable commuting distance. Reports to company office in Westlake, TX.

Starting compensation for this location depends on related experience. Annual bonus opportunity and other eligible earnings are not included in the range(s) above. We offer a competitive benefits package, see below for details.

Salary: $105,133to $143,600 per year

What you have

Job Requirements : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and 1 year of experience in a related occupation.

Experience must include the following: Coding and testing change requests according to design documents using Microsoft and .NET Framework technologies, ASP.NET, MVC, NET Core, C#, OOP’s, XML, Web Services, WCF, HTML, CSS and JavaScript; Develop distributed systems using Agile and Scrum methodologies, REST Services, web-services, microservices, and data processes; RestAssured, RestSharp, SoapUI and Parasoft SOAtest; Use of Aerospike and splunk for easier maintenance and accessibility to large volume of database; Write unit test cases, integration test cases, and maintain the security of applications by using Veracode and quality check by SonarQube analysis; Conduct requirement analysis and convert requirements into technical designs for architecture development; and Develop systems by analyzing business objectives, preparing an action plan and identifying areas for modification.
