Description Position Summary Responsible for the organization of patient care for the Trauma Center. Coordinates patient care services with an emphasis on clinical guidelines and outcomes management. Trauma Coordinator leads, directs and negotiates through collaboration with physicians and staff to promote care delivery that assures efficiency/clinical outcomes, and cost effectiveness at entity. Essential Functions Program development and ongoing program maintenance for Trauma Center. Evaluates and ensure compliance with all Trauma Center accreditations as well as the American College of Surgeons Level III certification requirements. Coordination of care for trauma patients. Demonstration of progressive leadership Actively participates in communication with physicians and other health care members Acts a resource for nursing and direct care providers, supports patient education/outreach activities Plans and oversees ongoing education/in-services related to the care of trauma patients Acts as liaison between GMC, CMC, other hospital systems and community resources to collaborate on system projects related to trauma care. Assists in obtaining performance improvement (PI) data and developing PI projects for trauma service lines. Represents Trauma Center on hospital committee's as designated Involved in learning and self-improvement Required For All Jobs Performs other duties as assigned. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
