1 Job Locations Remote - U.S. Category Accounting and Finance Overview The Internal Auditor 2 is responsible for the examination and evaluation of the adequacy and effectiveness of the company's governance risk management process and system of internal controls. What you will be doing Conduct basic, moderate risk analyses with oversight from team members Evaluate the reliability and integrity of financial and operating information based upon industry trends, authoritative literature and business objectives Evaluate the systems established to ensure compliance with policies, plans, procedures, laws and regulations Evaluate the means of safeguarding assets including verifying the existence of such assets Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk management systems Provide support to external auditors, including performing walk-throughs and tests of controls Compose internal documentation that details processes and findings Provide input on how to improve internal efficiencies; grow knowledge and be aware of best practices and market trends Comply with all corporate and departmental privacy and data security policies and practices, including but not limited to, Hyland's Information Systems Security Policy What will make you successful Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Experience in internal audit or public accounting Working knowledge of GAAP, financial statements and internal controls Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Good oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact Organized and experienced at successfully multi-tasking Demonstrated ability to operate at the highest level of integrity, professionalism, and forthrightness Good critical thinking and problem solving skills Good collaborative skills, applied successfully within team as well as with other areas Detail oriented; regularly verifies all work thoroughly and efficiently to ensure accuracy Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the principal duties of the job Up to 10% travel time required Based on individual states' employment laws, the following details are to comply with the relevant salary posting requirements: base salary range of $60,000-$75,000 and eligible for bonus and benefits What you can expect next Hyland Recruiters thoroughly review every application and will contact you within 1 to 2 weeks regarding next steps.
