Description

We are seeking a Sr. Procurement Consultant based in Lowell, Massachusetts. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity in the outsourcing industry. The Sr. Procurement Consultant will be instrumental in managing and overseeing outsourced projects and ensuring the provision of high-quality results.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, review, and negotiate outsourcing contracts to ensure they align with company objectives.

• Monitor and manage contractual obligations from both the company and the outsourcing partner.

• Address any contract disputes or issues promptly and effectively.

• Identify, evaluate, and select outsourcing vendors based on project requirements and company criteria.

• Establish and manage relationships with external vendors, including setting expectations, performance metrics, and deliverables.

• Conduct regular performance reviews and audits to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.

• Create and manage project plans that include timelines, milestones, and resource requirements.

• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors for timely and accurate project execution.

• Monitor project progress and performance, making adjustments as needed to address any issues or deviations from the plan.

• Ensure that all outsourced services comply with legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements.

• Implement quality assurance processes to monitor vendor performance and adherence to contract specifications.

• Address and resolve any quality issues or non-compliance matters promptly.

• Identify potential risks related to outsourcing projects and develop mitigation strategies.

• Monitor and manage risks throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring timely resolution of any issues.

• Maintain contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges or changes in project scope.

• Prepare and manage project budgets, including monitoring expenditures and ensuring cost control.

• Review and approve invoices from vendors, ensuring accuracy and alignment with contract terms.

• Identify and implement cost-saving measures where possible without compromising quality.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all contractual and operational issues related to outsourced projects.

• Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders on project status, performance metrics, and any contract-related issues.

• Facilitate clear and effective communication between internal teams and external vendors.

Requirements • Proficiency in Concur, Coupa, CRM, eProcurement, and About Time software.

• Experience in compliance, contract administration, customer service, materials handling, contract management, and vendor management.

• Proven skills in project planning, compliance assessments, risk management, and financial management.

• Demonstrated expertise in procurement strategies and techniques.

• Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to build strong supplier relationships.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large amounts of data and to detail-oriented.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

• Knowledge of procurement regulations and procedures.

• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and to handle uncertainty.

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.

• Proven track record of successful procurement management in a similar role.
