Responsible for providing desktop and network services for corporate network and assuring that they are operating efficiently at all times while interfacing properly to other LANs and wide area networks (WAN) associated with corporate headquarters. Provide support and consultation for existing and new technologies that support all networks\' needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provide day-to-day support of LAN / WAN: Support for 1000+ PC\'s, 160 servers which include email, Finance. Supports Rumba emulation and SNA for AS400 access. Microsoft Active Directory, operating systems, group policies. Maintain standard operating system images / hardware specification for desktop and servers. Participates in technology planning for network (LAN and WAN). Manages network / PC equipment purchases and works with vendors. Maintains a DNS, IP Addressing, and Firewall (Proxy) systems and interfaces with all network servers and maintains backups onsite. Develop staff and secure qualified backups in the matter of absence. Oversee all installation of network cabling; Ethernet Cat 5 and fiber optic cabling. Upgrade all major operating environments on computers in network environment. Proactively look for ways to better apply technology to the company\'s primary mission. Actively advance skills via workshops / training in keeping with current technologies. Create, maintain and update user accounts for email and domain logons utilizing scripts, profiles, and directory securities. Train users and resolve problems and communicate changes in software and operations. Maintain virus protection across the network utilizing Norton Anti-Virus. Configure, maintain, and service remote connectivity using RAS and Domain trusts across WAN. Develop documentation as needed based upon company\'s specific requirements. Perform other similar or related duties as required or requested. Position Requirements: A minimum of an Associate\'s degree plus 2 years of experience in a Client/Server environment A minimum of 2 years of experience in a PC/NT Network with Windows XP, 7, and 10 Experience with DNS, IP Addressing (ipv4 and ipv6) Familiarity with routers, gateways, firewalls, proxies, and hubs Ability to generate technical documentation to support projects, tasks, and configurations Skilled in problem solving and training in a one-on-one or classroom environment Ability to communicate with all levels of employees in a professional manner Experienced in installation of network hardware and able to provide real-time network troubleshooting
