Job Description Summary The Bartender is responsible for consistently delivering results that contribute to the mission and overall success of the hotel by accomplishing performance objectives covering the social venues of the hotel. The bartender sets-up, services, and breaks-down the bar area ensuring a high level of quality, consistency and service. Craft and serve a variety of beverages, engage with guests, wait on tables, and contribute to the overall atmosphere and success of our restaurant. Job Description Key Responsibilities: 1. Welcome and greet guests in a friendly and courteous manner. 2. Create and serve a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with precision and consistency. 3. Take food orders and serve dishes to guests' tables. 4. Maintain an extensive knowledge of our drink and food menu. 5. Engage with guests, offer drink and food recommendations, and ensure their satisfaction. 6. Operate and maintain bar equipment and assist with serving equipment. 7. Ensure the bar and dining areas are clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times. 8. Prepare garnishes, syrups, and other drink ingredients in advance. 9. Adhere to responsible alcohol service guidelines and monitor guest consumption. 10. Check identification to verify the legal drinking age of guests. 11. Process payments accurately and efficiently, handling cash and credit card transactions. 12. Maintain a clean and sanitary work area, including bar tops, sinks, and dining sections. 13. Collaborate with kitchen staff, other servers, and management to ensure smooth service flow. 14. Follow all safety and sanitation procedures and report any issues to the manager. 15. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, new cocktail recipes, and beverage offerings. 16. Handle customer complaints or concerns professionally and seek assistance from management when necessary. 17. Upsell premium and specialty drinks and food items to increase revenue. 18. Participate in regular bar and dining area inventory and restocking procedures. 19. Assist in training new bar and server staff, as needed. Qualifications: - Previous bartending and serving experience in a restaurant or bar setting is required. - Knowledge of a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. - Strong customer service and interpersonal skills. - Excellent multitasking and time management abilities. - TIPS (Training for Intervention Procedures) or similar alcohol service certification is a plus. - Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. - A passion for mixology and creating innovative drinks is a bonus. Physical Requirements: - Ability to stand for extended periods. - Ability to lift and carry cases of liquor, trays of food, and other bar and dining supplies. - Manual dexterity for preparing and garnishing drinks.
