Bombardier London- B1 Aircraft Engineer in Westerham, United Kingdom
Bombardier’s Business Aircraft London Line station is part of an award-winning network and is the flagship of Bombardier’s European operation. The facility has the capabilities to perform an array of maintenance checks, modifications and upgrades all from this site.
In your role, you will
Troubleshoot, repair, inspect and perform maintenance on customer aircraft
Perform and document all work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required
Train, coach and support other employees
Perform complete engine runs as required
Perform complex repairs on aircraft systems
Supervise Mechanics when carrying out maintenance tasks, and determine that relevant tasks or inspections have been carried out to the required standard
Release line maintenance tasks that are performed by him-/herself or under his supervision for which he/she is trained and authorized
Perform maintenance at off-site locations
Assist when providing time & cost estimates
Respond to customer queries & requests
Use own initiative to resolve difficult situations
As our ideal candidate
You typically have additional civil maintenance work experience
You have demonstrated ability to train other employees
You have Part-147 approved type training
You typically have some experience in corporate / commercial jet experience – preferred
You are engine run qualified – preferred
You have an EASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance License: B1, B2 and C
You have basic knowledge requirements of Appendix I to Part-66
You have basic knowledge of Part-M, Part-145 and any other relevant regulations
You have at least 6 months of relevant aircraft or component maintenance experience in any consecutive 2-year period
You have experience working with our aircrafts, but will consider other Business Aircraft makes as well
You have knowledge on, and practicing of, human factors, human performance and limitations
You have knowledge on EWIS and CDCCL when relevant
You have experience working during last two years on at least one aircraft type for each license (sub)category
You are current on all training requirements (recurrent/continuation training)
You have the ability to interpret and work with engineering drawings
You have the ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on individual task and / or aircraft status
You have the ability to use standard tools, special tools and operate ground support equipment
You have the ability to work in accordance with the maintenance data and to notify the function responsible of defects or mistakes requiring rectification to re-establish required maintenance standards
You have the ability to use information systems (computer skills)
You have experience on business jet aircraft
