CH2M HILL BWXT West Valley, LLC (CHBWV) is the prime contractor selected by the U.S. Department of Energy to manage the Phase 1- Facility Disposition Project at the West Valley Demonstration Project. The site is a scenic 30-minute drive south of Buffalo, New York. In cooperation with the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, CHBWV continues to decontaminate and decommission facilities at this site.

JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE OF POSITION: The Technical Services Administrative Support II role performs diverse administrative assignments including daily management support, scheduling, letters, procedures, and procurement development and revisions. Duties include supporting the Technical Services team with records filing, work document tracking, preventative maintenance job card generation, and tracking deliverables.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Experience: High school graduate or equivalent. A minimum of two (2) years of related work experience. Proficient with Microsoft software including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, PDF and Excel

Other Requirements: Organizational skills - Establishes own work schedule and priorities and may also establish work priorities of other employees in group or department. May guide lower classified employees in group or department in procedures, standards, and company organization. Work independently with limited direction once trained and receives general guidance for new or unique situations. Sturdy shoes, high visibility vest, and hearing protection where required. Must obtain and maintain DOE access authorization.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/SCOPE OF WORK: Maintains a safe and healthful work environment by following established safe work practices and procedures; investigating and reporting identified safety concerns or situations. Evaluates information, data, input, and similar items for completeness, accuracy, and suitability to assure agreement with standards and procedures. Take appropriate action as necessary without direction for normal situations. Establishes schedules to accomplish routine and special tasks. Answers and initiates appropriate action in response to routine requests within specialty area not requiring management attention. Directs preparation of various administrative elements by other employees within department and assure accuracy, completeness, and arrangement. Maintains knowledge of computer systems, databases, on-line interfaces, networks, operational standards, and reporting processes. Assists with computer applications or equipment training of other personnel. Regular attendance is required. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
