Material Handler

Location: West Sacramento, CA

Pay: $20.75

Shifts : Day Shift Available ; Need to be available weekends

Experience : 2-3 years of warehouse experience required

Job Description

The Pharmacy Clerk in the Central Fill Pharmacy packages prescriptions and prepares them for shipping. The role entails several duties including but not limited to packaging and shipping prescriptions, performing process audits, restocking, and cleaning. This is a production-based environment that requires maintaining consistent and continuous workflow to meet team and individual hourly production goals. The ideal candidate can work productively either independently or as part of a team with acute attention to detail while performing repetitive tasks.

Hard Skills

• Basic computer skills

• Knowledge of federal and state HIPAA laws

• Operate a pallet jack

• Operate a hand truck/dolly

• Operate scanning units

• Basic mathematic skills

Work Environment

The working environment is a large-scale pharmacy/warehouse production environment with exposure to cold conditions in a refrigerated walk-in station 5-7 times. Occasional handling of environmentally hazardous medications. Physical requirements include occasionally lifting and carrying 10 to 20 lbs, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching overhead, utilizing ladders, using firm grasps, standing and walking continuously, reading and hearing, and reaching at table level.
