Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer to support out Hot Section Engineering team. The selected candidate will support the development of project plans, schedules and budgets, track progress, resolve problems, develop solutions, and forecast project revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the development of project plans, schedules and budgets; and Coordinate with other functional organizations.
Identify and address project problems, analyze data gathered, develop solutions and recommendations to solve problems, meet deadlines and optimize performance.
Track progress, identify and resolve obstacles to minimize disruption to project schedules to ensure smooth project operations.
Support in the preparation of status and technical content to CIPT and upper Pratt & Whitney management.
Analyze data gathered and develops solutions or alternative methods of proceeding to optimize performance and increase efficiency of work.
Work closely with IPT members and authorities on hardware field investigations to drive root cause and recommend product improvements.
Support Class 1 and Class 2 engineering change execution.
Maintain and present plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the project(s) to track progress and ensure that established targets are met.
Support in the execution of risks assessments and mitigation plans.
Facilitate project tasks with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with overall project objectives.
Support military budget EVMS activities.
Attend and have participation in group meetings, teleconferences and/or training.
Actively participate in initiatives for continuous improvement using ACE tools and support AS9100 efforts.
Based on business needs, the incumbent may be required to support other duties/functions within the company.
Support project management activities.
Basic Qualifications:
BS Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace and or Engineering
5+ years of experience in Engineering or 3+ years with an advance degree
U.S. citizenship is required due to government contract
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
Experience working in the Aerospace Industry
Previous gas turbine experience
Working proficiency with MS Office, Teamcenter, SAP, MS Project or other scheduling software
The ability to craft clear communication and build positive relationships
Experience with Microsoft Office applications
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent at promoting teamwork
Security clearance
Additional Requirements:
Travel up to 10%
Work schedule: Hybrid, working alternately in-office and remotely
