Ranger Construction Industries Receptionist - (West Palm Beach) in West Palm Beach, Florida

As a receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our company. Our receptionist's duties include offering administrative support across the organization. You will welcome guests and greet people who visit the business. You will also coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office.
  • Answer and direct phone calls to the appropriate individuals. When appropriate screen and forward incoming phone calls.
  • Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and materials (e.g. pens, forms, brochures, and employment applications)
  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email.
  • Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries.
  • Manage office supplies and inventory.
  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges)
  • Provide general administrative and clerical support duties such as filing, photocopying and faxing.
  • Other administrative activities as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required; some college education or business classes desirable.
  • Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
  • Knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office products (Intermediate Excel at a minimum, Word, etc.)

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, kneel, walk, talk, see, hear, push, pull, climb, bend, and stoop.
  • The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, climb, use manual dexterity to operate tools used in the course of work and typical office equipment, hear sufficient to hear conversations in person and via telephone and radio, and vision sufficient for distance sight and to read diagrams, manual reports, rules, regulations, laws, and plans.
  • The employee is occasionally required to reach, push, and pull with hands and arms.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Physical dexterity may involve stretching, proper placement of legs, and use of arms and hands in repetitive motions.
  • The employee must be able to maintain constant alertness to the multiple concurrent activities occurring at the site, including the activities of other employees and contractors, the operation of stationary equipment, and the movement of mobile equipment.
