Well established family owned business in the snacks and dessert industry is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician to join their growing multicultural team. salary: $39,520 - $47,840 per year

work hours: 7 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities

The Quality Assurance Technician is a supporting role for the monitoring for manufacturing and production's daily activities. This role is responsible for the support for any challenges on the production floor, documentation and recommendations.

Responsibilities :

• Perform pre-production sanitation inspections for all food processing areas and equipment.

• Monitors environmental conditions in the GMP areas.

• Ensure the packaging have the correct and appropriate documentation, packaging components, and product before and during production runs.

• Responsible for reporting all Quality Non-Conformances and deviations to the quality lead and management.

• Responsible for ensuring all documentation is reported utilizing GMP/Good documentation practices and all applicable Standard operating Procedures as well as industry best practices.

• Must have the ability to adjust to changing work demands and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Calibrate, validate, or maintain laboratory equipment.

• Participate in internal assessments and audits as required.

Qualification:

Must be able to work independently and able to make decisions

Be personable and able to work with a multicultural team

Knowledge of production processes, raw materials and quality control

Must have above average math skills

Working knowledge of GMP and GSP

Chemistry/ lab experience in food manufacturing is a plus!

Associates Degree

The essential functions of this role include:

• working in a smoke free environment

• manual lifting up to 35lbs

• standing for 8 hours at one time

• working up to 8 hrs of overtime per week
