Your Opportunity
As the Project Manager, Traffic Engineering, you will leverage your experience with Florida highway and roadway projects to grow our Traffic Engineering practice and manage the design and delivery of large projects.
You will play a pivotal role in expanding our existing client and project base and in efforts to position the firm to acquire new business in the Florida market. Further, you will have responsibility as a manager for projects in various phases from conceptual planning, through design, construction, and completion.
You will play a primary role in guiding and growing our traffic design presence in southern Florida. You will join a dedicated group of professionals who are eager to take their capabilities to the next level and more fully leverage the resources and expertise of a global company. In this role, you will connect with potential clients, mentor and guide employees, and lead projects to further establish our organization as a top transportation engineering firm. Your work will include coordinating with, and provide support to, the Transportation and Community Development teams on projects throughout Florida.

As a manager, you will deliver projects within scope and budget; provide compliant and technically sound designs; manage, coach, and mentor resources effectively; manage the stakeholder and engagement process; proactively build relationships within an organization; and actively manage, maintain, and expand external client relationships.
Your Key Responsibilities
Building and maintaining strong client relationships that allow us to have a positive impact on the communities we serve and grow our people through work on exciting and challenging projects.
Develop value-added solutions to clients' needs and lead the successful pursuit of contracts for engineering and consulting services.
Increase the company's profile within the transportation industry through participation with appropriate business and professional organizations.
Perform as discipline lead, engineer-of-record and/or technical specialist on traffic engineering projects including signing & pavement marking, traffic signalization, and/or lighting design.
Prepare and review signing & pavement marking, traffic signalization, and/or lighting designs for various projects.
Mentor junior staff to develop each to their full potential.
Oversee the work of other engineers.
Perform strategic planning and plan execution for both operations and business development.
Planning, organizing, and supervising the work of other transportation professionals.
Resource management, recruitment, career development, succession planning, coaching, and mentoring.
Effectively negotiate, plan, monitor and deliver quality projects and consulting services.
Reviewing engineered designs and plans for conformance with applicable state, regional & local agency standards.

Your Capabilities and Credentials
A wide-ranging experience with county, city and state transportation projects.
An ability to develop schedules and plans for complex projects using Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6.
Experienced at preparing powerful and impactful presentations utilizing Microsoft PowerPoint software
Experienced developing, negotiating, and managing scopes, schedules, and budgets.
Experience in project pursuits including client engagement, developing teaming strategies and developing proposals.
Ability to lead one or more design teams through all phases of project production for traffic design projects including signing, pavement marking, signalization and lighting.
Ability to lead, motivate, mentor, and develop a team of technical and professional staff.
Education and Experience
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering
Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensed in the State of Florida
Minimum of Ten (10) years of progressive engineering and project management experience.
