Sinclair Broadcast Group Part-Time News Editor in West Palm Beach, Florida
WPEC CBS12 in West Palm Beach has an immediate opening for a part-time Video Editor.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Assemble video for newscasts using non-linear editing system on tight deadlines to get shows on the air.
Communicating clearly with producers and crews to ensure correct video gets on-air and all parties are aware of any workflow issues which may impact shows.
Recording video from a variety of local and outside sources and routing of live video signals.
Knowledge of and interest in news and current events a plus.
Familiarity with non-linear editing and Avid in particular, preferred.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:
College degree or minimum one year relevant experience in commercial video production.
Knowledge of non-linear editing and ability to assemble high-quality clips that match scripts quickly and accurately
Team player with a positive attitude and ability to work effectively in fast-paced environment under deadline.
Understands news is a 24-7 operation, must be able and willing to work nights, early mornings, weekends and holidays as needed.
