Pratt & Whitney, a recognized leading producer of the world’s most powerful jet engines, is looking for dedicated individuals to support our organization. The GTF MRO facility is looking to fill a critical role of the Materials and Planning Specialist.

What You Will Do:

  • Communicate and work cross functionally with Finance, Warehouse, and Engineering to support integrated value stream solutions.

  • Process management and support of SAP submittals, materials inventory, purchase orders, Material Reorder Points process to ensure engine delivery schedules are met and critical part shortages are mitigated

  • Ensure External Repairs are shipped.

  • Manage and support alternative solutions are processed in accordance with current standards.

  • Support escalation and operational meetings

  • Support operations leadership/management as required.

  • Local delivery assurance and supplier development, monitoring and escalation of systemic issues.

  • Achieve the highest levels of customer support to engine center and other internal/external stakeholders.

  • Support Pratt & Whitney and UTC EH&S policies and procedures and actively support continuous improvement initiatives

  • Work a weekend shift Friday - Sunday 6:30AM - 6:30PM, Onsite schedule.

What You Will Learn:

  • Processes management, performance metrics, and trends to drive increased performance and production cycle time.

  • Creation and end-to-end management of repair purchase orders in support of West Palm Beach GTF operations.

  • Be a part of a responsive and adaptive culture where cross training, teamwork, and knowledge sharing is apparent.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in Manufacturing, Military, Logistics, Aerospace, or Aviation industry; OR Associate’s degree and 7 years of experience Manufacturing, Military, Logistics, Aerospace, or Aviation industry in OR Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate and 9 years of Manufacturing, Military, Logistics, Aerospace, or Aviation industry

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Bachelor’s degree STEM fields preferred.

  • Experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, Purchasing, Planning, Inventory Management and/or Supplier Management.

  • Aerospace or Aftermarket Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) industry experience

  • Knowledge of international trade compliance regulations related to material logistics.

  • Internal and external customer negotiation experience.

  • PMP certification or prior experience leading complex projects and processes.

  • Lean manufacturing experience, and or Six-Sigma training

  • Ability to work across and communicate with all levels of the organization.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office, Solumina, SAP, or similar MRP/ERP systems.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
