• First rotation is in Pratt & Whitney Compression System Structures Engineer for F135 HPC CIPT in WPB, Florida

What You Will Do

• Stretch your capabilities and enhance learning with frontline, hands-on assignments

• Relocate to different RTX cities/states while in program to broaden your exposure to the business and further develop your leadership and functional skills and business acumen

• Provide structures analytical support for military programs, with responsibility for the durability and structural integrity of gas-turbine compressor components. This includes airfoils, rotors & shafts, cases, and actuation linkage systems. Responsibilities include:

• Provide analytical support for preliminary & detailed design, through development, validation, certification, manufacturing and operational service.

• Cover validation testing (engine and rig) and data-reduction.

• Support in-service field investigations.

• Use Finite Element and classical methods for strength, stress/deflection, vibration, fatigue life, damage tolerance, containment, kinematic and optimization analyses.

• Participate on multi-discipline teams to provide design solutions that balance customer requirements for durability, performance, cost and weight.

• Coordinate with others to advance technology and improve engineering standard work processes/methods.

• Document and present results to management and internal customers.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering, or a related field degree must be obtained between December 2024 - May 30, 2025

• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required

• Cumulative 3.0 GPA

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.
