Robert Half Division Operations Manager in West Palm Beach, Florida

Description

Our client is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Operations Manager for their South Florida Division. This is an exciting opportunity to oversee operations, drive business growth, and cultivate strong professional relationships.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing in ensuring operational efficiency and team development as well as business growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all operational activities, ensuring the creation and implementation of cost-effective systems that promote efficiency.

  • Collaborate with teams to attract new customers, maintain client relationships, and enhance product and service offerings through innovative solutions.

  • Serve as a key leader in building professional relationships and effectively marketing the company’s brand.

  • Drive the growth and expansion of the division, including assessing staffing requirements.

  • Develop and maintain a strong customer base by leveraging existing contacts and establishing new relationships within and beyond the target market.

  • Oversee division management activities such as estimating, recruitment, administrative duties, invoicing, accounts receivable, and quality control.

  • Conduct regular meetings to review production progress and financial accountability, ensuring project milestones are met.

  • Perform contract and subcontract analysis and reviews.

  • Manage Profit & Loss (P& L) and establish financial controls for long-term projects to ensure productivity and financial accountability.

  • Collaborate with Senior Management to set annual budgets and performance goals.

  • Ensure accuracy in project estimates, review bids before submission, and actively seek out new business opportunities.

  • Resolve any discrepancies in project proposals and invoicing in partnership with the Project Manager.

    Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, ideally within the construction industry.

  • Proven track record in managing commercial construction projects with a focus on successful delivery.

  • Strong expertise in construction cost management and estimating, including project cost control.

  • In-depth understanding of construction documents and project documentation requirements.

  • Solid background in both business and field operations, ensuring smooth project execution.

  • Advanced skills in business development, with the ability to identify and drive new growth opportunities.

  • Proficiency in operations management, with a focus on optimizing efficiency and productivity.

  • Experience in project estimating and overseeing the management of construction projects from start to finish.

  • Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of quality and performance.

  • Strong knowledge of project scheduling and timeline management to ensure on-time completion.

  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, fostering a collaborative and motivated work environment.

  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities in high-pressure situations.

  • Outstanding communication skills, both oral and written, for effective stakeholder engagement.

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, construction management, or a related field is preferred.
