The
Portfolio Manager
is responsible for
assisting MBS Commercial Lenders (Account Vice Presidents and Loan Officers) with the management of their portfolios of assigned relationships as well as facilitating initial review of new loan requests from current members and prospective members.Serves as the secondary contact for established borrowing members and works under the general direction of the MBS Senior Account Vice President and Production Manager and the Commercial Lender that has primary responsibility for the assigned relationship.The Member Business Services Department operates as one team, so all team members, including the Portfolio Manager, may be called upon to execute a variety of tasks to better serve our membership.

Perform an initial review and evaluation of loan requests and present data to Commercial Lenders.This will include preparation of preliminary cash flows or "dirty cash flows" which will help lenders determine the viability of a loan request and the structure of the potential loan offer.Some instances will involve more in-depth analysis of guarantor cash flows and Uniform Credit Analysis (UCA) cash flows.
Completion of MBL Checklist and communication to lender and member any need for additional financial documentation required for full analysis of the loan request.
Work alongside lenders to prepare new loan lender memos to summarize loan requests prior to advancing to the credit department.Portfolio Manager should understand the[[]{style="t
