Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories High School Intern - Property Maintenance in West Lafayette, Indiana

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories (SEL) seeks a professional, innovative, and detailed student for our High School Intern - Property Maintenance position located in West Lafayette, IN.

A typical day as a High School Intern may include:

  • Under direct supervision, performing daily custodial maintenance duties of basic complexity including but not limited to sweeping, dusting, scrubbing, mopping, trash removal and appropriate response to requests as needed.

  • Completing routine deliveries and stocking as directed.

  • Assisting with grounds keeping, personnel moves, and routine floor care (operation of machinery will be in strict accordance with regulatory guidance based upon age, for those under 18 years old no equipment with hard blades will be used).

  • Ensuring proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; perform routine maintenance as required.

  • Following workplace safety guidelines, environmental practices, and area processes.

This position is located at SEL’s newest manufacturing facility in West Lafayette, IN. Residents enjoy a mix of suburban and urban environments, as well as a short drive to Indianapolis and Chicago.​ West Lafayette is a great place to call home.

Pay Range Data

($16.30 per hour)* Our intern pay is determined based on the internship role (the work you would be doing) and your year in school (when you plan to graduate).
