OVERVIEW
This position oversees and coordinates a comprehensive range of recreational and leisure activities within the community. It involves developing, implementing, and evaluating activities that cater to diverse age groups and interests, fostering a positive and inclusive environment for all participants. The manager will work closely with participants, their families, and community partners to provide inclusive and engaging recreation and leisure experiences. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Program Development:
Develop and implement recreational activities that meet the needs and interests of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Collaborate with community partners to create inclusive and accessible programs.
Ensure that programs align with the organization's mission and goals.
Program Implementation:
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the recreation program.
Train, and supervise staff and interns.
Coordinate transportation and logistics for program activities.
Monitor participant engagement and satisfaction.
Community Outreach:
Build relationships with community partners and families.
Promote the recreation program through marketing and outreach efforts.
Collaborate with managers to provide center-based activities.
Budget Management:
Assist with managing the program budget.
Secure funding and grants to support program activities.
Quality Assurance:
Ensure that the recreation program meets high standards of quality and safety.
Evaluate program effectiveness and make necessary adjustments.
Ensure outcome measures and other related data are documented as outlined in program requirements.
Conduct announced and unannounced site visits to ensure contract compliance.
