Position

We have an exciting opportunity for a Team Lead, Electronics Assembly and Test to join our West Hartford, CT Team. This position will supervise and coordinate the activities of the workforce engaged in operating a variety of equipment to meet production schedules while maintaining 100% product quality and ensuring a safe working environment.

Responsibilities

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises 10-15 employees in the Electronics Assembly and Test Value Stream. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

The successful candidate will be a dynamic multitasking team player with solid experience with aerospace assembly and test practices, small volume mixed mode production, contract bargaining agreement personnel management, lean manufacturing, process flow optimization, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing environment. Previous supervisor experience in a union environment is a plus. Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or a technical field required. Strong business acumen coupled with mental aptitude and motivation to learn. Demonstrate initiative and advanced interpersonal skills in team problem solving situations, relationship building and aligning with business goals. Ability and willingness to travel approximately 10%. MS Office equivalent, Project Management tools experience is a plus. Contract Bargaining Agreement negotiation skills are a plus. Familiarity with export controls regulations (ITAR/EAR) is a plus.
