Athene Desktop Support Specialist in West Des Moines, Iowa

Purpose:

Athene is seeking a Desktop Support specialist to join the team! You will provide hardware, software, and mobile support for business and IT users across multiple locations within the organization. Provides resolution & ticket updates based on published SLAs. Receives positive customer feedback regarding problem resolution effectiveness. Proactively documents solutions to build on the team knowledge base.

Accountabilities:

  • Identifies, escalates and makes recommendations for improvement.

  • Communicates to stakeholders regarding status, quality, risks, and operations.

  • Completes and documents break/fix incidents and move/add/change requests.

  • Installs, maintains, and updates PC hardware, software and mobile devices.

  • Tests, configures and troubleshoots within one or more of the above areas.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education & work experience. High school diploma required

  • IT certifications are a plus.

  • On-call rotation for VIP support; 24/7 required.

  • 1+ years of applicable IT experience is a plus.

  • Experience in one or more of the following: troubleshooting PC hardware/software issues for laptops, desktops, and mobile devices; understanding of the Windows 10 operating system.

  • Strong problem solving & analytical skills.
