Key Responsibilities:

The Senior Director, NA Marketing (Trauma & CMF) will develop and implement the annual marketing plan and the strategies, tactics and resources vital to achieve established goals. They assess marketing needs of the regional marketing team and prioritize to develop new capabilities and team member skills. They meet regularly with sales leadership to establish direction and priorities, and goals and targeted objectives, participate in the strategic planning process and portfolio planning, and partner with global growth marketing team to launch new products in the U.S. and ensure alignment with global launch strategy. They are responsible for tactical execution of regional product launches including sales forecasting, inventory allocation, customer targeting, pricing strategy, and coordination of regional & national trainings. They will lead efforts to understand new capabilities required to successfully drive the business forward and work across the organization to establish new capabilities within the team.

The Senior Director, NA Marketing will supervise a team of marketing professionals passionate about providing a high level of support to the regional sales team. This includes “first line” technical support, co-travel to support selling efforts, building customer relationships, and gathering of market intelligence. They coordinate communications with the U.S. sales team. Ensure frequent and efficient communications regarding company strategies, product launches, and other key initiatives. They work with Regional Leader to develop region specific marketing and promotional materials in adherence to corporate standards and guidelines, and work closely with Professional Education to develop programs that align with regional business plans and market needs. They lead and provide direction to the marketing and sales team on how to compete effectively with existing portfolio of products and solutions and provide leadership, direction and management to the assigned marketing team.

The Senior Director, NA Marketing will establish and support a culture that encourages teamwork and inclusiveness across the various DePuy Synthes businesses, and ensure all marketing communications are coordinated, support marketing plan objectives and are an effective expenditure of resources. They develop and lead all aspects of annual Marketing Departmental budget. Monitor revenues, expenses, and purchases. They recruit, empower, develop, and delegate the overall Performance Management of associates within area of responsibility, and build a robust leadership pipeline in marketing with 2-3 ready now successors to all leaders by through implementation of Global Marketing Proficiency Model, diversity & inclusion, focus on GLP behavior & career development planning and leadership pipeline concepts. They will have a leadership role in the Marketing Leadership Development Program for the West Chester campus. They must ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Education:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required; advanced degree (MBA) is preferred.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • A minimum of 12 years of related experience in Marketing, Sales & Sales Management, or related function in healthcare industry is required.

  • Significant and shown experience launching new products, services and programs in the MedTech industry is required.

  • Knowledge of healthcare environment and MedTech industry including U.S. payment reform; BPCI, and outpatient procedures is a must.

  • Management experience and a consistent record and passion for developing team members are required.

  • Confirmed experience developing and implementing successful business plans is required.

  • Experience and proven leadership in interacting with key surgeon customers and sales force is required.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills are required.

  • Must have ability to work in a hands–on, fast paced, patient & customer focused environment.

  • Position requires approximately 50% travel including weekends.

  • Travel is primarily domestic but may include some international travel.

  • Global experience preferred.
