Description

We are seeking an interim Controller in the chemical manufacturing business. This role presents a short term contract employment opportunity that involves overseeing financial operations within a Chemical Manufacturing business. As a Controller, you will be handling tasks related to accounting, auditing, budgeting, and financial reporting. Must speak fluent Spanish. Must understand Mexico GAAP. 100% remote.

Interim Controller (must speak Spanish):

Responsibilities:

Must speak Spanish

Must have experience with and understand Mexico GAAP

Must have manufacturing industry experience

• Oversee and manage all aspects of financial operations, including Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

• Carry out monthly end close procedures efficiently.

• Oversee and manage costing, revenue, and inventory reporting processes.

• Ensure compliance with Mexico GAAP, understanding its nuances that differ from US GAAP and IFRS.

• Manage and resolve complex accounting functions and customer inquiries.

• Utilize Accounting Software Systems for efficient financial management.

• Monitor and audit financial transactions and reports.

• Participate in budgeting processes and provide financial forecasts.

• Implement and maintain Cost Accounting procedures.

• Ensure all financial operations align with company policies and business objectives.

Top 3 Keys:

• Spanish Speaking / Understands Mexico GAAP (Has either audited companies in Mexico or worked for larger corp. in Mexico)

• Manufacturing Background

• Strong Excel

  Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting

Manufacturing industry experience

Knowledge of Mexico GAAP Accounting is crucial

Proficiency in Cost Accounting

Advanced Excel skills
