Engineer 3, Software Development & Engineering
Contribute to a team responsible for designing and developing new software and web applications using Java/J2EE, Spring, Struts, JDBC, MYSQL, Oracle, jQuery, and Angular JS; create Spring MVC and Spring Integration with Spring Boot; develop web services using SOAP, REST, and Microservices; create database relationship mapping using Hibernate and JPA; deploy software to Pivotal Cloud Foundry; build CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GOCD; support applications under development and customize current applications; assist with the software update process for existing applications and roll-outs of software releases; research, write, and edit documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal recommendations and reports; monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products; review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects; and work with the Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements. Position is eligible to work remotely one or more days per week, per company policy.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and two (2) years of experience developing software using Java/J2EE, Spring, Struts, JDBC, MYSQL, Oracle, jQuery, and Angular JS; creating Spring MVC and Spring Integration with Spring Boot; developing web services using SOAP, REST, and Microservices; creating database relationship mapping using Hibernate and JPA; of which one (1) year includes deploying software to Pivotal Cloud Foundry; and building CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GOCD.*
