Summary: The main purpose of the Sustainability Architectural Representative is to manage aspects of the sustainability program and position the company as the industry expert on the sustainable attributes of cold-formed steel framing and finishing products to the Architectural and Engineering community. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Work with Director of Corporate Sustainability to refine overall strategy in alignment with the company’s mission, values and business objectives, and publish annual Corporate Sustainability Report (CSR) which communicates that strategy transparently. • Manage Greenhouse Gas Emissions data collection and reporting. • Manage and expand library of Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs). • Manage and expand library of Health Product Declarations (HPDs). • Manage and expand library of Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) testing. • Develop sustainability education and training materials for use by Sales and Marketing teams. Provide technical support to sales and marketing teams for sustainability related questions. • Obtaining LEED AP, Well AP, CDT and CCPR certifications (Company paid). • USGBC, CSI and ASTM Membership with active attendance in key markets determined by Manager. • In person and virtual calls to Architectural and Engineering firms to become trusted advisor by providing support and promoting product lines within assigned territory. • Schedules and presents Lunch & Learns (continuing education courses- CEU). • Prepares and presents 15–20-minute product presentations for targeted Architect and Engineering firms. • Maintains professional and technical knowledge through publications, personal networks and by participating in professional societies. • Influence specifications: review documents, follow up and assist with submittals. • Performs specification reviews to secure the opportunity to place ClarkDietrich products and update industry standards. • Meet monthly spec review goals and in person meeting goals. • Provides follow up to continuing education course participants and attendance reporting. • Utilizing Dodge Pipeline for lead tracking and providing support to Territory Managers and Technical Sales Managers on database as needed. Qualifications: • LEED AP, Well AP, CSI CDT and/or CCPR certifications (company paid if not already certified) • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, engaging and professional presentation skills • Up to 25% travel with overnights and occasional weekends • Ability to adapt to diverse customer base. (Architect one day, Owner one day, Engineer another, etc.) • Must be capable of making an organized and persuasive presentation in person. • Thorough knowledge of products represented, as well as products of competitors • Understanding of building codes as they relate to steel framing products • Must be well organized and capable of following up to build relationship with firms • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat • Understanding of the role the architect plays in the project delivery process and where the manufacturer falls • Consultative selling skills • Excellent time management skills and ability to work autonomously/remote Education and/or Experience: • College degree in related field or a minimum of 5 years in the construction or sustainability industry.
