Barnes Group Inc Mechanical Tech 4th Shift (Internal Applicants Only) in West Chester, Ohio

Description INTERNAL APPLICANTS ELIGIBLE TO APPLY ONLY Preferred Candidate Identified 4th Shift: 6pm - 6am Fri-Sun CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: Support Engineering functions under direction of team engineers. Train on and run various equipment used in repair processes as required to support continuous improvement efforts. Assist in the design, engineering analysis, computer programming, and interpretation of customer requirements and specifications. Data collection and analysis as needed. Disposition of discrepant material to ensure product quality and adherence to program requirements. Provide technical and advisory support to the production area to ensure development of products in the manner that produces a quality process. Help identify, lead, track, and report out on continuous improvement projects in a team environment. QUALIFICATIONS: 1-2 years' experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably Aerospace. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate and develop work instructions, solutions to problems, and reports for all levels of employees, supplier and customer. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing, Kaizen and Six Sigma helpful. Strong computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint.
