Description Core Responsibilities: * Lead cross functional project teams focused on new product introduction, continuous improvement, and nonconformance resolution. * Develop manufacturing processes and tools to ensure products and services provided meet all contractual, program, design, and quality requirements. * Create engineering documentation including models, drawings, routings, testing specifications, reports, and work instructions. * Disposition manufacturing non-conformances and determine root causes and solutions. * Troubleshoot machines and processes. * Meet with customers to define their needs and determine the best solutions. * Co-develop cost estimates for new process implementation and manufacturing quotes. * Participate in design, manufacturing, and test documentation reviews to ensure applicable contract, program, design, and quality requirements are met. Qualifications: * Minimum 5 years providing engineering support to a manufacturing environment. * Excellent written and verbal communication. * Proficient at reading, analyzing and interpreting customer drawings, specifications, procedures, and standards. * Proficient with computer systems and basic software, experience with CAD (Solid Works, NX, AutoCAD, or similar). * Project management experience with a proven track record of scheduling and organizing people effectively to complete assigned functions. * Ideal candidates also possess: *Machining, press/forming, welding, brazing, heat-treat and inspection experience. *Die, tool, fixture and gage design experience. *Minimum 3 years in aerospace industry *Experience optimizing high mix / low volume production. *Proven success with team leadership and continuous improvement *Lean and six sigma experience *Sheet metal experience Education Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent 41 CFR 60-1.35(c) Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities The contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
